Hi im Greg Kirkham! Im a licensed therapist, practicing for over 20 years. I specialize in treating trauma. Now, you may be saying “but I don’t have trauma!” Trauma comes in all shapes and sizes and is often not recognized as such, but almost always has a significant impact on someone’s overall mental, physical and emotional health. Trauma also presents in many different forms, including struggles with depression, anxiety and anger management. Over my career I have worked with an array of populations, including children/families, juvenile sex offenders, and even convicts.

As a somatic psychotherapist, I use a combination of body-based and traditional talk therapies to help clients live more fully. My passion is working with clients who are struggling with the effects of trauma including anxiety, addictions, eating disorders, and relationship difficulties. Somatic Experiencing (SE) is my foundational lens while utilizing other evidenced based treatments including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Experiential, Dream Analysis and Adjunct to 12-Step. I view therapy as a collaborative process and see myself as a guide in helping my clients find their unique ability to address their struggles.

Success is defined in a number of different ways and is different to every person. However, it does not always translate to the happiness, mental wellness, or contentment that we may expect it to provide. In order to explore our own life satisfaction, we have to identify what brings that joy / fulfillment / purpose and what is standing in the way of these experiences / feelings, that may seem inaccessible for various reasons or in a certain stage of life. I like to say, "we don't know what we don't know," and gaining personal insight takes both time and intentionality. Once gained, this insight can be truly life-changing.
