The clients I feel most equipped to serve are children 5+, adolescence or young adults experiencing a major life change or a victim on trauma. Clients that need counseling buy-in and may have never spoken in depth with a counselor before. They need to feel safe and have someone help them navigate their thoughts on how to move forward with identity reflection or healing.
I can help foster resiliency and define safer ways to cope with all the changes life throws . I believe most people can find hope on their own, but speaking to someone safe and outside or their social network can prove to be a more impactful and effective way to navigate healing. I encourage clients to find their inner balance and confidence.
A counselor educator once said "you cannot sell people on something you haven't bought yourself". I used to believe I was strong and could resolve my issues on my own. However, after experiencing a significant trauma as an adult and acting out of character, I found counseling to be a powerful guide in my healing process. I know it can help you too!
