I'm the sole therapist and owner of Maple Leaf Counseling of Lawrence. I want to help people who are seeking a change in their lives or want help with personal growth. Sometimes we just need help coping with daily stressors and everyday life. Sometimes we need to work on other issues like addiction to chemicals, food or behavioral addictions.
I have been through my own issues with mental health and addiction. I have over twenty years being clean and sober and now over twelve years as a licensed professional counselor and licensed addition counselor in four different states. I have worked with many different mental health and addictions with people from all walks of life.
I offer a free 10–15-minute meet and greet. This is an opportunity for us to meet one on one and get to know each other and then we we'll see if we are good fit. The relationship between a therapist and their client is essential and critical to a client's well-being.
