I like to work with people who want to become the best versions of themselves. Many clients I've worked with struggle with depression and/or anxiety and want to feel better. Their specific symptoms seem to cause them significant problems in one or more areas of their lives. Most people want to reduce their symptoms that are causing issues. My goal is to treat each client with the dignity, respect, and love they deserve as human beings by accepting and working with them exactly where they are in their life.
I find myself regularly working alongside people from all walks of life using a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy among others. I prefer to work with people ages 18 and older and offer individual and couples therapy.
This is my third career. I used to work in the oilfield and construction industry for about 20 years combined. I feel as if my life experiences help me relate to most people.
