It takes tremendous courage to come to therapy and devote yourself to introspection and growth. My intention in working with clients is to promote self-understanding and concrete skill-building, so that each individual owns their agency, and trusts their resilience. If unhelpful thinking is an issue, we will work together to challenge your current thought processes and create a more compassionate self-narrative.
I believe the client is just as important as the therapist in this process, therefore I do not utilize a one-size-fits-all approach. We examine all aspects of a client’s perspective including the systems impacting them. Treating the whole person is important to my therapeutic engagement with clients. All the aspects that make up a whole person are examined.
My belief is that the best therapeutic relationships are collaborative journeys.
