Where are you in the journey of your life? Life can come fast and furious, and quickly become heavy and overwhelming. Becoming comfortable with our individuality and also possessing a sense of belonging, are what we all desire. As a therapist, it is my goal to help and empower individuals in discovering and embracing themselves, as well as finding where they belong in life. Counseling provides a space to be creative, explore, and learn to navigate life's transitions as you walk the journey that is your life.
I work with children/teens (ages 8-18) and my specialties include trauma, anxiety, grief/loss, and life transitions. I use a person-centered approach and draw from EMDR (eye movement desensitization), brainspotting, ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), mindfulness, expressive arts, and other trauma-informed practices.
It is my goal to provide a warm, empathetic, and safe environment where you can feel seen, heard, and discover your story. People do not need fixing, but do need relating to, in a collaborative experience that will create the context for trust, honesty, change, healing, and growth.
