I help clients overcome challenges and achieve their goals using therapeutic methods that match their needs, strengths and values. I’ve helped clients from varied backgrounds deal with depression, anxiety, substance issues and the negative impact of recent and past trauma. I also help clients manage stress, life transitions and difficult decisions. I work with clients of all genders, sexual orientations and spiritual outlooks. My personal experience as a husband and father, along with my prior career in business, helps many male clients feel welcome and understood, even if they are wary about entering therapy.
I developed my personalized, holistic approach over 13 years working in private practice, community agencies and an integrated healthcare clinic. I am trained in evidence-based therapies, including psychodynamic therapy, CBT, EMDR, DBT, MI and ACT. I apply these methods, mindfulness and neuroscience to help clients gain insights and develop helpful skills.
