Hi, I'm Tom Logan. I'm a licensed professional counselor in Texas. I take a holistic view of therapy. My areas of focus are ADHD, bipolar disorder (depression and anxiety), and PTSD, especially with veterans. I'm a retired Navy journalist. I help you accomplish your therapy goals primarily using cognitive-behavioral techniques. I sometimes use solution-focused brief therapy and narrative therapy. I typically work with adults with ages ranging from 18 on up. Most of my experience has been with those experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety. I have two years of experience working with veterans and those with PTSD.
I also have a lot of experience with career counseling. I was a high school guidance counselor and academic advisor with several universities where I also taught. I usually manage to establish immediate rapport with my clients.
I was a YMCA counselor in college, a pastoral counselor, a high school guidance counselor, a university academic advisor, a substance abuse aftercare coordinator, and finally a licensed professional counselor. My first adult job was as a Navy hospital corpsman. My whole life has been devoted to the restoration and healing of mind, body, and spirit.
