I have been a therapist for 20 years. I have also been a client. As a client I enjoy the process of working on my relationship to self and others, processing the wounds and effects of childhood, and working to improve my ability to live in the moment with contentment, presence, and acceptance. For me therapy helps me to be intimate, to listen, and to practice loving kindness. It is an important part of my spiritual growth and over all self-improvement. This is what I enjoy with my clients… being part of their life’s journey of contentment and meaning, away from fear and always working toward love.
My approach to therapy is humanistic and relational – through relationship, connection, understanding and a safe environment, my clients are able to make changes in their behavior, thinking, life choices etc. that lead to deeper intimacy, connection and peace.
The first benefit my clients experience when they come to therapy is a feeling of being seen, of feeling safe, and of gaining an awareness that what they are going through is "normal". It is comforting to realize that these symptoms are typical to the human condition.
