I am a licensed professional counselor who collaborates with my clients to develop a strong therapeutic alliance. I meet my clients where they are at in life to establish goals that are attainable and allow my clients to feel success and balance. My eclectic theoretical approach incorporates a balance between empathy, validation, and compassion. Life isn't easy and my goal to is help my clients feel more comfortable with how our world is changing in a way that works for them.
I specialize in adolescents, young adults, adults and families. I help develop coping strategies using DBT and CBT skills that produce successful outcomes. As a teacher in the public school systems for over 25 years, I have worked with learning difficulties and social emotional issues caused by all the environmental stressors our generation has to manage.
Validation and compassion is how I approach my clients . Their level of comfort is the most important piece to this journey.
