I have 30 years experience working as a counselor for children, adolescents, families, and adults. I work with people who are dealing with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief/loss, trauma, self-image, and any stresses related to race or sexual identity/orientation. I also work with couples of all backgrounds on improving communication, problem solving, and intimacy issues.
My counseling style is warm, accepting, and empowering. I use a combination of counseling techniques to suit your needs. I am client-centered which means I help you reach YOUR goals and dreams. I believe in working as a team to reach your goals and to overcome any obstacles you may be facing.
I understand reaching out for help may be difficult but I am here to help you feel comfortable, to listen to you, and to help you understand yourself as well as learn how to cope with difficult emotions and situations.
