Hi! Hola! My name is Theresa Nayelie, and I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in San Diego, CA, and practicing statewide via telehealth. Prior to being licensed, I worked as an Associate with incarcerated youth, TAY, young adults, Victims of Human Trafficking, and school-based children and their families. In my free time, I like to hang out at different coffee shops and go hiking on the weekends! I am excited to collaborate with you to maximize your goals and unlock all the energy you have in you!
For the past 5 years, I have worked with adolescents, young adults, and TAY maneuvering their way around social pressures, anxiety, depression, friendships, and generational trauma. In the past 3 years, I have been promoted to work in fast-paced, quick, crisis intervention, higher acuity cases in both mobile crisis and in-custody settings.
My theoretical approach is eclectic as I believe not two humans are the same. I base my toolbox and skillset to determine what might be the best approach to our time together. Some of the modalities I use the most are client-centered therapy, CBT, Solution Therapy, and Narrative. I am excited to discover what is best for you.
