Theresa graduated from Walden University in 2018 with her Master's Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in medical, military, PTSD, and trauma. Theresa's experience after graduation includes adult case management with inner-city Detroit clients, outpatient therapy in a community mental health agency, working with substance abuse, and clients with both substance abuse/mental health diagnoses, and adult clients on probation/previous incarceration. She is able to engage with adults from all cultures and "walks of life". Theresa served in the Army as a combat medic honorably discharged in 2000 and continues to volunteer with Veterans.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker-Clinical (LMSW-C) with a specialty in Military, Medical, PTSD, and Substance Abuse. I also have experience with adults with serious mental illness/Co-occurring Substance Use Disorders. I can assist with coping skills, and trauma-informed therapies and help clients see their inner strengths and live their best life.
