The problems have been chronic and disabling, and very real. Not "all in your head." If you are reading this, chances are you've seen doctors and other providers, tests have been run, diagnoses have been proposed, and treatments have been attempted, but all to no avail. I would like to introduce a new paradigm, drawing on the role of the brain and nervous system in regulating the state of the body. Whether you have chronic pain, a functional disorder, or other medically unexplained symptoms, there is hope for recovery under the psychophysiologic (mind-body) paradigm.
I am certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), which is the primary intervention offered. This may also include elements of emotional awareness and expression therapy, as well as physical training and lifestyle tips as applicable. Also, as an experienced ER physician I can help clients differentiate between structural vs mind-body symptoms.
I know how disabling it can be to live with chronic pain because I've been there. Now that I've recovered, I am passionate about helping others with similar issues. It is possible to learn to regulate the state of your own mind and body, and to cure your symptoms without medication or surgery.
