Life comes with many unexpected changes, and these changes could be an uncomfortable and scary feeling for us to experience. It does not mean that change is a bad thing, it could just mean that we currently do not have the coping skills and knowledge to handle it, and that is okay. That could be why you are online, reading through the descriptions of many different therapists to find that specific thing that you need. My goal of therapy is to provide you with a safe space, and help you identity and utilize coping skills that will help empower you to take on these changes.
I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, older adults, and military personnel. My area of expertise is Solution Focused Brief Therapy, but I am also well trained in theories of counseling like CBT and Person-Centered. My experience come from working at an outpatient clinic conducting group therapy, and working with individual clients.
