I’m a bilingual therapist who helps individuals seeking to grow cognitively, emotionally, relationally, and/or spiritually. At one point or another, people will experience seasons of discomfort, feeling stuck, or general dissatisfaction with an area of life. I help people untangle these confusing seasons and make sense of this particular growing stage.

I am prepared to help a variety of individuals who are in need of support and encouragement in the areas of : child play therapy , adult issues , family and couples therapy . I work with a range of client issues : behavioral adjustments , coping , anxiety , domestic violence , depression and grief issues . I approach therapy from a Christian perspective which allows each person to search for their inner source of faith and support . Everyone receives the support to gain the spiritual insights to meet the challenges of life.

Michelle provides mental health counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. She has over ten years of experience working with clients directly impacted by abuse and trauma. Intrinsically, Michelle believes we are all capable of accomplishing our own individual goals of growth, healing, and/or change when we’re open to trusting the therapeutic process. Michelle values the importance of a strong therapeutic bond with her clients, built on mutual respect, honesty, genuine rapport, and therapeutic humor. She also believes that therapy should be a collaborative journey with her clients and the caregivers of her child clients.

I'm a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years experience as a mental health therapist working in the San Antonio area. I received a Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy Degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. My training and experience qualifies me to offer bilingual English-Spanish counseling for individuals, couples, children, families dealing with domestic abuse, child abuse, trauma, grief and loss, addictions, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Also, I can assist with military specific challenges such as; pre-post deployment stressors, combat-related PTSD, stress management, life transitions, work/career related issues.

My passion is helping adults, teens, and children find healing from trauma-related challenges and relational hardships. As a Christian therapist, I enjoy helping clients find freedom from anything limiting them from walking in their true identity. I am trained in play therapy, am a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner, and have worked over a decade with those who have experienced challenges related to trauma, foster care/adoption and domestic violence. Additionally, my background includes working with couples and strengthening relationships from various walks of life.

My specialty is working with couples, in particular helping them heal from affairs/betrayals, loneliness, over-the-top conflicts and loss of friendship/romance. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Gottman Method Couples Therapist and Trainer and Consultant for The Gottman Institute. This means I have highly specialized training and experience in helping couples using a researched based, effective modality. A state-of-the-art Love Lab assessment process pinpoints couples issues and helps create a more effective treatment plan. This process mimics Gottman's original research and raises the bar in couples therapy.
