My name is Gina Cardines and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas for 4 years. With a total of over 20 years overall experience in the mental health field and several years as a licensed therapist, I have experience in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and PTSD. I also have experience working with survivors of Intimate Partner Violence, human trafficking, and other traumas, including survivors of child abuse, First Responders, and active and retired military personnel.

I help others understand themselves and manage change. My main goal is to provide quality counseling services that empowers others and leads to a sense of strength and well-adjustment. Problems treated, but not limited too include: life changes (divorce, career, midlife, and/or not-so-midlife), grief/loss, general substance abuse/addictions (alcohol/drugs, relationship, work, and/or sex), trauma, moral injury, domestic violence issues, sexuality problems, intimacy/sexual relationship issues, uncontrollable emotions, difficulty coping, and increased/ongoing stress.

I believe in strengthening clients to restore healthy lives through self-determination & meeting the client where they are at. My calming & supportive presence allows a safe environment for clients to freely express their thoughts & feelings. Once a therapeutic relationship is established, I believe in teaching clients how to help themselves by listening to their narratives & guiding them in the direction of their individual goals.

My work is centered on helping youth and their families build resilience in the aftermath of adversity, including abuse, grief, medical illness, and violence victimization.
