I believe we all experience life struggles as we strive to find significance, fulfillment, and meaning. When overwhelmed individuals, seek counseling for various reasons--to improve their lives, find balance, solve a particular problem, gain understanding of themselves and others, or work on specific areas of concern such as: self-esteem, anxiety, stress management, anger, grief/loss, relationship concerns, family conflict, and/or general life transitions. I help kids 3 and up, teens, young adults, and men live a healthy life, handle stress and difficult emotions, process trauma, improve behavior and generally live happier! I have a friendly, laid back, person-centered and child-centered approach.

I am taking new clients–in person and virtually! There are times in life when we get stuck. We have expended all of our internal resources and we need to reach out for help. In those times we may not be able to see hope, so we borrow it from someone else. That's where I meet my clients, offering space for them to share their story and find healing. I work with adults and children ages 10 & under who are struggling with difficult emotions and/or challenges like stress, grief, anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavior problems, attachment issues, parenting, and more. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy and we need a neutral person to help us see things more clearly, and encourage and guide us to where we want to be.

My strength and passion in counseling lay in child and adolescent therapy working on body image issues, eating disorders, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and behavioral issues. I have experience in working collaboratively with clients, their medication management team, parents, teachers, dietitians, and pediatricians to ensure the circle of care is complete and my clients have the support of their community in their treatment journey.

As a Clinician, I work with a mixed population of children and adults, across a wide range of treatment modalities. My youngest client is 3 years old and my oldest is 53 years old. I feel called to work with individuals who have been exposed to traumatic events in their lives. Trauma therapy allows children to communicate, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, and learn a variety of ways of relating to others. I am incredibly passionate about pediatric mental health and mental illness prevention. I am touched by each opportunity I’m given to help bring about healing for children and their families. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I aim to provide a warm, welcoming environment focusing on my relationship with my client. I believe the individual is the expert about themselves, and my role is to help facilitate their journey towards their goals. My primary areas of specialization are in working with children and adolescents and individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, child abuse, depression, grief, anger, trauma, abuse, sexual identity, parent/peer conflict, and transitional issues.
