I’m a white, cis, queer, fat femme clinical social worker from a working class background licensed in Massachusetts (LICSW) and Pennsylvania (LCSW). I recently relocated to western MA from Philly, where I began my practice. My areas of clinical interest include: queer and trans identities; issues surrounding sex and sexuality; fat liberation/body positivity; gender-based violence; ambiguous loss and complex grief; anxiety and depression; trauma; attachment and alternative family structures. I work from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive framework with attention to how identities and larger systems intersect.
I was trained psychodynamically and in relational psychoanalysis. I think deeply about the conscious and unconscious, attachment and early attachment figures as first mirrors and templates of later relationships and relational dynamics. I look to the therapeutic alliance as an opportunity to identify and shift relational patterns.
I have a small caseload because I think deeply about my clients. I work well with people who struggle to form and trust attachments and who desire knowing themselves more deeply, particularly those who struggle to know and be known. I have an open and curious demeanor and my clients often report that I am both direct and loving.
