My ideal client is a woman between the ages of 18 and 75 who is dealing with relationship issues, anxiety, depression; or is struggling with divorce, marriage, remarriage, stepparenting, or parenting. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques to help clients gain more awareness about cognitive distortions and self-defeating thoughts that trigger undesirable mood states and actions. I am also a couple's therapist who uses The Gottman Method to help couples build a strong fountain of love, trust, and intimacy. It focuses on building rituals of connection and "Love Maps" - ways of showing interest and appreciation.
I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and The Gottman Method of couples therapy. I specialize in working with adult females and couples. I can help them attain more self-efficacy and control of those things they can change - such as their mindset and self-defeating thoughts and behaviors that cause them and others emotional distress.
