I believe in searching for the resilience in each person. Beginning therapy can feel like entering unknown territory. I have a warm, interactive practice that includes the following: problematic life changes, depression, adoption issues (both child and adult), work issues, social competence, relationship issues, recovery issues, trauma, anxiety and aging issues. I have a special feeling for those who are dealing with anxiety, and use meditation frequently. I am also able to assist with creative blocks regarding writing and other arts.
I work with people in recovery and offer supportive therapy to social activists. People with various gender variance issues can explore these in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I am a registered Animal Assisted Therapy Dog handler; we have provided therapy to many people.
My work is informed by attachment, neuroplasticity, and relational theories from a feminist perspective. I'm interested the creative process, and meditation is a base from which I work. I now offer a specialized treatment to help deal with the pandemic of Covid-19. I also offer telehealth.
