In my approach, I focus on highlighting our strengths that we can use to achieve personal and/or professional growth. This process can be achieved by intentionally developing skills to be more present in our life and a self-awareness of patterns that may be ineffective for the life we want to lead. Depending on the need, I also incorporate alternative methods to support insight and growth through the use of animals (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy). I also recognize the strength it takes to seek change and appreciate how the process can look different for everyone.
I have been practicing for over 10 years as a therapist. In addition, I am an approved Clinical Supervisor by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I have been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Animal Assisted Therapy, Play Therapy, Sandtray, and Family Therapy
