My passion is for helping children and their parents thrive through Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, or PCIT. As a specialist in this evidenced-based approach, I understand the unique challenges parents face when they have a child with disruptive, aggressive, overactive, or destructive behaviors. I understand the anxiety a parent experiences when they don't know if their child can participate in school, summer camps, and religious activities. I understand the frustration and overwhelming feelings parents experience when they have tried many ways to manage their children's behaviors.

PCIT is a powerful therapeutic intervention for children ages 2-7 years old. Many parents feel judged for their child’s behavior, but I approach parents with empathy and focus on teaching effective strategies to improve parent’s confidence. Strategies focus on fostering healthier communication and strengthening the parent-child bond.

PCIT is also effective for young children who have experienced trauma, have anxiety or experienced separation from their caregivers. I also work with individuals of all ages using Trauma-Focused CBT, Experiential Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy for families and couples. Let's talk to see if this is a good match.
