Being from a family-of-origin with deep-rooted generational trauma, I am able to genuinely connect with my clients from a deeper level of trauma understanding. I work with First Responders and their families, as well as teens and young adults. I have successfully completed the Cultural Competency Training sponsored by the UCF Psychology Clinic Advanced Clinical Training Services. This certifies my competence in understanding the First Responder culture.
I take a Person-Centered approach to therapy. My clients use their personal strengths to overcome their barriers. By helping my clients identify and use their internal resources, they become more successful at sustaining long-term relief from mental health disorders.
