I utilize a trauma focused, client centered approach to work with those with a history of trauma (PTSD/CPTSD), anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and relationship difficulties such as family and/or intimate partner dynamics. I am able to provide therapy to those who have been harmed by toxic religion and have a desire to deconstruct/reconstruct their current or past faith practice. I'm also comfortable processing issues of systemic oppression, trauma, and racism. I am able to work with teens, adults, couples, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. I am able to offer in person or live virtual sessions.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been blessed to work with individuals, children and families for over the past 13 years. I am focused on improving relationships and strengthening family dynamics. I am trained to address a wide range of issues including communication breakdowns, conflict resolution, parenting challenges, job stressors, educational concerns, childhood and adult trauma and more. I work collaboratively with clients to identify underlying issues and develop practical solutions.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, adoption, trauma, and parenting problems. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, mobile crisis, outpatient, and in-home. I feel like that is important to explain as, it means that I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, family/relationship conflicts, life transitions, and complex trauma/abuse.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP) in the State of Tennessee, and am a National Board-Certified Counselor (NCC). I have worked with clients of all ages in a variety of settings and currently see clients ages 8 and up. My approach to counseling is client-centered and is tailored to the needs of each individual client, drawing on my knowledge and training in different modalities, including play therapy, art therapy, CBT, ACT and EMDR. When I am not working, I enjoy a rare quiet night at home with my family, but I spend most of my time these days driving one of my kids to their many events.
