My role is to provide unconditional positive support for you during your therapy journey. I believe therapy works best when you are active in the session and we work together to develop your goals. I will bring genuineness, compassion, and sometimes humor to my sessions.

Dr. Michael Walsh Gannon, PhD, LCADC and the staff of TalkDr Christian Counseling, specialize in treating the root causes of whatever contributes to keeping you stuck. In essence, we assist the natural healing process of getting you "unstuck" once you achieve freedom from your pain. TalkDr Christian Counseling uses empathic and biblically based counseling to achieve results.

Now accepting new clients! I am a counselor and life coach for adults, as well as an advocate working with schools on behalf of kids with special needs. I serve the communities of Franklin, Cool Springs and Brentwood TN. With an abundance of life experience, it is my hope to walk with you through life's challenges whether they be family related, relationships, marriage, career, child rearing, illness, divorce, grief or any combination of these. I also diagnose and treat ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bi-Polar, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, and other disorders.

Kauri has experience in working with: anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, transitions/adjustments, body image, boundaries and communication. She has completed Basic EMDR training. She is open to working with adolescents ages 12 and up, adults, couples and families. Kauri enjoys integrating faith and mental health. She counts it a privilege to walk alongside fellow humans, helping to find a sense of peace in the midst of a chaotic world.

My passion is to see my clients being successful in healing and thriving. From my experience, each individual has unique needs. I work with clients to address such needs with tailored therapies, counseling, and education. I am a bilingual therapist and counselor who approaches humans with empathy, dignity, and no judgment. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and see clients in both languages. I use evidence-based therapies to meet the needs of individuals, families, and groups.

Many times life throws us unexpected curve balls, and if we can catch them, we find that with a little help we come out much stronger, wiser, and ready to embrace life for a better future. I want to help you do that very thing. I have been a therapist for 30 years and I enjoy helping people find new dreams out what they believe to be lost possibilities. I have also raised four wonderful children and am personally familiar with life's seeming messiness that can evolve in ways we could not have predicted.

I am committed to helping my clients build resilience and work towards resolution and healing. I understand that mental health is a unique and personal journey for each individual, and I use a variety of modalities to create the best approach for each client. I believe in validation and curiosity in my therapeutic approach, while also helping my clients to do hard things and challenge themselves to create a more joyful and meaningful life. I work with adults, teens, children, and families, and have experience in helping individuals navigate a range of mental health concerns.

At Tango Trails, Traditional and Equine-Assisted Counseling are combined to help our clients. We believe that interaction with the natural world, and especially horses, is a great way to promote healing. Both riding and non-riding activities are used in therapy sessions. No horse experience necessary.

I am licensed in both Utah and Tennessee. I provide my clients with a safe, inclusive, judgment-free space to express feelings, fears, memories, thoughts and aspirations. I work with clients to enhance self-acceptance and self-esteem with the Rogerian-based principles of empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. I teach mindfulness and positive coping skills in order to enhance inner peace.

My specialty is RELATIONSHIP COACHING, seeing clients as couples as well as individually. I offer specific protocols for successful relationships especially designed for difficult situations, including betrayal. I have been practicing Clinical Psychology for 30+ years and have been with Brentwood Counseling Associates, the oldest psychological practice in this area, since 1988. I see clients of all ages, starting from adolescence. Sub-specialties include: ADDICTIONS; ANXIETY; DEPRESSION; SPIRITUAL/RELIGIOUS ISSUES. HYPNOTHERAPY can be used for these problems, or for smoking cessation, weight issues, fear of flying and other phobias. I am a member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
