I specialize in helping individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or Autism ages 5-25. I also have experience facilitating family and couples counseling. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health and provide individual and group perinatal therapy services as well for mothers who are pregnant or postpartum.

I seek to help individuals involved that require a psychological assessment with recommendations. There are many reasons a person may need a psychological evaluation. Perhaps, it is because you are involved in the legal/court system, require a psychoeducational evaluation to obtain school supports for your child, or for general diagnostic information and clarity. People in these circumstances want to obtain unbiased, thorough evaluations conducted utilizing best practices followed by realistic and helpful recommendations.

I love working with families, couples and individuals (both teens and adults). I have a huge heart for working with teens and young adults and helping them have a more cohesive relationship with their family or at least repairing damage from their childhood. I can help couples rekindle their intimacy and learn good communication and boundaries. I've dealt with many issues like anger, anxiety, OCD, depression, family dynamics, trauma and so much more.

Imani Behavioral Health was started in May of 2018 as a way to serve the community with a multicultural team of professionals providing quality services through a multitude of therapeutic specialties. As the company grew and clientele increased; we began to realize the difficulty of finding a mental health agency that provides quality services to accommodate everyone’s various needs. Due to the growing needs of the community; we now have three offices with two in Clarksville (933 Tracy Lane suite D & 1725 Wilma Rudolph Suite 1) and one in Nashville (404 BNA Dr. Suite 200)!

Regardless of how painful, isolated, or destructive our actions are, when we discover enough pieces of the puzzle, people make sense. In this life, we experience pain and frustration. Questions and feelings around ourselves and our relationships point us to deeper questions about suffering, purpose, or meaning. To avoid these, we do any number of things - we build coping skills that become addictions and compulsions and break down our relationship with ourselves and others.

Clients that are dealing with depression and anxiety, family and relationship issues, and going through transitional periods in their life are my area of focus. I am also passionate about working with clients that want to improve their overall health and well being through nutrition and maintaining healthy lifestyles.

I began working in the field over 20 years ago, in university counseling centers across the South. Now in private practice, I see adolescents-middle age adults. I strive to join my clients at the point in their process where old patterns are no longer working and collaborate with them to find new ones. I like to set goals together that provide a roadmap for the course of our work, and I challenge my clients to work on things not only in session, but also in their everyday lives. I view therapy as a temporary stop along life’s path; a realignment that sends my clients back out there as healthier and happier versions of themselves.
