For 15 years, I have worked with individuals and families that have suffered from wounds inflicted by others, as well as emotional harm that may be self inflicted. Trauma and dysfunctional family patterns, or damaging thoughts- such as shame, anxiety, and self-defeat- may serve as examples of these wounds. The weight of unresolved emotional and mental pain can be both limiting and exhausting. But there is hope, and these wounds can be mended.
