I use an integrated approach to provide individual counseling and play therapy services to adults and children. I am interested in aiding clients who deal with difficulties surrounding divorce, daily stressors, relationship issues, anxiety and depression. I intend to focus on working with children and families attempting to readjust to the rules and roles of the new family structure that can surface. I will provide a safe environment where clients can work collaboratively with me to identify concerns and process them. I will help clients use this new awareness to determine effective coping and communication skills.
In my career while working with adults, children, and adolescents, I have found play to be extremely beneficial to the counseling process and a motivator to help clients work toward their goals. Play therapy helps client develop new and creative solutions to problems, develop respect and acceptance of self/others, and learn to experience and express emotion.
I provide a safe and nonjudgemental environment for my clients. I empower clients to establish goals and provide assistance in working toward those goals. It can be difficult to seek help but if you are ready to try something different, please reach out. I will provide any resources that I can to further help you on your counseling journey.
