I have a history in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with a basis in attachment theory. Cognitive behavioral therapy works with core beliefs and cognitive distortions that we pick up along the way based on our lived experiences. Our attachment style starts when we are born and carries throughout our life, especially in our relationships.
I have worked in substance use and mental health crisis as well as inpatient, adults, adolescents and the homeless population. Due to the variety of populations I have worked with, I have experience dealing with strained relationships with parent-child and intimate relationships. I currently work with adults, adolescents, and couples.
