Sometimes life gets difficult and reaching out for help can be even more difficult. This is especially true when we may be experiencing the effects of disability. My philosophy as a counselor is help you navigate these challenging times and help you reach your full potential emotionally, mentally, or socially. I believe focusing on the individuals strengths that they already posses will help facilitate change. As well as conceptualizing and addressing struggles in a wholistic lens allows for deeper understanding of what may be occurring.
I enjoy working with all populations however have experience in working with those in the medical field experiencing difficult transitions such as med students to residents or residents to attending physicians. Given my training in both mental health and rebab counseling I work with individuals with TBI or other neurological disorders.
