Hello, I'm Tatyana Shields. In my view, therapy offers a confidential haven where you can shed the fear of judgment and acquire tools for personal growth, moving towards a state of balance and inner peace. I completed my undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Potsdam and earned my Master of Social Work degree from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. My professional journey has seen me working in higher education as a staff therapist in New York. I specialize in child and adolescent psychotherapy, parent education and skill-building, as well as experiences of trauma and PTSD.
My aim is to offer personalized and collaborative therapy. I believe therapy is most impactful when approached as a joint endeavor, with both of us contributing our expertise: mine as a compassionate therapist and yours as the expert on yourself and your needs.
