My name is Taryn Van Vliet (she/her/hers). I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist AMFT121669 with the Board of Behavioral Sciences working towards licensure in California. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from the Graduate School of Education and Counseling at Lewis and Clark College. I have experience using relational and systemic theory treating a women’s trauma recovery group and adolescent psychosocial group. I worked as a primary therapist with adults who struggle with eating disorders and have developed expertise and confidence working with complex and challenging issues.
As a systemically and relationally trained therapist, I focus on increasing agency, awareness, and voice through relational ways of thinking and engaging, to support clients in making conscious choices that will improve their overall quality of life.
