My specialization is with children from early childhood through adolescence with emphasis on behavior management, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), developmental and learning differences, ADHD and Executive Functioning, anxiety, depression and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). My practice focuses on developing outcome-based solutions with your child coming first. This means teaching them how to: identify potential problems, create tools and strategies to empower themselves, and show them how to develop healthy coping skills for successful outcomes. I concentrate on developing better thinking patterns, coping skills, and resiliency in the face of challenges so your child can alleviate his/her concerns before they become insurmountable.
I have been working in education and child development since 1996. I hold a PhD in school psychology and a Masters in Special Education. I am a licensed psychologist in Connecticut and New York and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. I have extensive training in assessment and intervention and work using a CBT approach.
I have a private practice in Westport, CT and consult with families, schools and foundations overseas. I am a published author, a presenter to families, schools, and communities on best practices and a regular contributor to magazines on issues related to child development, parenting, and youth mental health.
