Hi! I’m Tara. It’s hard finding a therapist, right? I help queer & trans folks manage anxiety, recover from religious trauma/religious harm, navigate relational and family problems, and more. I am a queer-identified, secular therapist who has also experienced religious harm. I’ve been a therapist for 20 years now and I still love it. I’m into self-compassion, and balancing boundaries with deep connection. I believe laughter is healing, tears can be restorative, and swearing can be cathartic (sometimes all in one session!). My focus is on helping members of the LGBTQ+ community. Many of my clients are trans or nonbinary. I have a special interest in helping folks who are recovering from the adverse effects of religion. As someone who is both EXvangelical and a queer survivor of purity culture, I have a perspective that my clients often appreciate.
