Counseling is a relationship in which I support clients to find stability, joy and meaning in the midst of life's challenges. I am passionate about working with children and their caregivers. Common struggles I work on with clients include coping skills, behavioral issues, behavioral regulation and communication skills. All children are welcome including those who have autism/neurodivergent, trauma, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, emotional dysregulation, and other challenges. I provide an understanding space in which to collaborate with caregivers to support their children.
I have extensive training in trauma-informed approaches. Mindfulness, somatic techniques, and theraputic play can be effective for a variety of clients. For caregivers, I am there as a sounding board for concerns at home or school. I can instruct caregivers in proven practices that will help them and their children work toward a better home life.
I have over 20 years of experience that includes working with adults and children in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, universities, churches, and in the home.
