We all experience emotional injuries. Some are minor and other could qualify as trauma. These injuries shape how we respond to our current situation. At times the responses are helpful, but at other times these responses are no longer helping us live our best life. In addition, these injuries may cause symptoms that at times can become unmanageable. Luckily it is possible to heal from these injuries. Therapy can help with the process of healing, especially if we get stuck along the way.
My work is firmly rooted in the systemic approach and draws from other practice theories as needed including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Strategic Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). My main passion and focus for the last 8 years has been with trauma work and I am certified in EMDR.
