I am glad you are here and taking time to invest in yourself. I specialize in working with people with a background of trauma, including sexual trauma and religious trauma. I have experience in working in areas of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and executive functioning, anxiety, depression, grief, posttraumatic stress disorder, racial and ethnic identity, women’s issues, and youth mental health. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. As a Black woman, I enjoy helping other people of color heal from racialized trauma and realize they are enough.
I work with people to heal from their past and prepare for their future. My person-centered approach means I listen and try to understand what people’s needs are. Then, I form a partnership in helping them. I assist people through several modalities, including behavioral therapies, play therapy techniques, positive psychotherapy, and solutions-focused.
