Hello, I’m Tamara! I was born and raised in South Texas. I have always been drawn to the complexities of relationships and how they shape us so ultimately found myself in a healing profession after “trying out” several other educational paths including math and music. None quite fit until I enrolled in the Master of Counseling program. It’s been a ride! I graduated from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi (Summa Cum Laude, 2009) with a Master of Science Degree in Counseling, emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy.
My professional experience includes private counseling, high risk youth, psychiatric/behavioral hospital triage, psychoeducational groups, relationship workshops, and the law enforcement community. I approach therapy as a non-judgmental and collaborative relationship to assist clients in meeting goals, overcoming obstacles and exploring new ways to thrive.
