I strive to provide an open, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment in which my clients feel comfortable exploring, growing, and making changes. I assist clients in obtaining a greater understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how they may influence their functioning. Typically, my clients are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions,and interpersonal difficulties. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, areas for growth, and help them move along the path to change.
I have an eclectic approach to treatment in which cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness based strategies are utilized. I have training in the Prepare/Enrich program, an assessment which assists premarital and married couples in identifying their strengths and areas for growth.
I understand that people's lives can be busy or individuals may have physical limitations, which can make it difficult to schedule and attend therapy appointments. For those who qualify, I provide online therapy to individuals who would like to attend therapy, yet have factors that prevent them from coming into a physical office.
