Hi! :) I frequently work with women who are trying to leave or have recently left an abusive relationship. You might notice you want to find independence and discover your identity outside of the relationship and are still impacted by the pain you went through. We will explore attachment wounds, trauma(s), and/or other emotional burdens that need attention and relief. We will work together to help you find ways to move forward with your life in a new, healthier direction. I also work with folks who have unresolved childhood trauma and notice symptoms of discomfort that they are ready to leave in the past.
The therapeutic approach I use most often is Internal Family Systems (IFS). I incorporate IFS with EMDR, breathwork, mindfulness, other coping tools, and spirituality. The genuine and trustworthy therapeutic relationship we will create is going to be the foundation for our work together, so it is time to get started! :)
