In my clinical practice, I seek to provide a safe and brave space for wellness inclusive of individual culture, spirituality and identity. I specialize in work with those impacted by complex trauma, depression, suicide, anxiety, sexual assault, sexual abuse, life-transitions, caregiver fatigue, education/work/life balance, substance use, and interpersonal relationship challenges. I offer a unique understanding and appreciation for those lives inclusive of work as a musician, performer, writer, and/or visual artist.
I am trained in EMDR (light bar and sensory approach), Cognitive Behavioral, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Relational Cultural, Feminist, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, Suicide Intervention and Acceptance and Commitment treatment modalities. I provide a patient-centered client-tailored approach.
Psychological conflict can emerge through cultural disruption, social injustice, and historical trauma. I support a client's treatment goals and objectives through honest examination of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without judgement. I see myself as a guide along the client's healing journey nurturing joy and hope along the way.
