As a therapist I help people find relief from pain, conflicts, and emotional difficulties. I've been successful working with problems such as relationships, underachieving, not fitting in, anxiety, helping students at an impasse in their studies, persistent sadness or grieving, and the strains of attaining independence. Rather than using one way of thinking, drawing on different methods provides flexibility to find solutions.
Trained as a cultural anthropologist, I did research in East Africa before training to become a psychotherapist. That experience gave me a profound appreciation and respect for differences among people. I learned that there is no one right way to "be," no one right way to live one's life.
