Primarily, I focus on neurodivergent psychological assessments. I have a long history of working with autistic and adhd individuals and truly enjoy my work with this population. I also love working with the lgbtq community and providing families with a safe and welcoming environment throughout the assessment process. Additionally, I am happy to work with adults, teens, and children. Regarding individual counseling, I have a special interest in working with the LGBTQ+ community, women's issues, and trauma survivors. However, I am not currently taking therapy clients at this time.
My work with clients involves taking a trauma-informed approach to promote choice, empowerment, and validation. I do this by utilizing an eclectic, person-centered, feminist-based, approach that allows the client to take the lead and advocate for their needs.
I love to include situation-appropriate humor and creativity when I can. I have experience with expressive arts and find this to be a great addition to counseling, especially when communication can be hard or a client is feeling stuck.
