I enjoy working with children, adults and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or parenting issues. I also work with couples who are struggling with communication, infidelity or other relationship conflict. My clients described me as supportive, and encouraging. I use cognitive behavioral therapy methods as well as insight oriented therapy to help clients develop and grow. I like to use the metaphor of a lotus flower to describe life's path. The flower is deeply rooted in the bottom of the rivers and ponds where it survives.
It grows through murky waters to get to the top where it blooms into a beautiful, healthy flower. I see that as how change happens. Sometimes we have to get through the mud of our lives to come out healthier and happier.
