I love working with tweens, teens, and young adults encountering obstacles in their search for happiness and success. I am also passionate about helping families communicate more effectively and supporting parents better understand their children. My goal is to provide each client or client-family with the most effective, short-term, evidence-based psychotherapy to maximize results without maximizing your time. I am also listed on the NC Social Work and Licensure Board's list of certified Clinical Supervisors and have trained/supervised numerous MSW students and clinicians who are working towards their full LCSW license.
I have had the privilege of serving the mental health needs of children, teens, and adults in Durham, NC for over 20 years. My specializations include treating anxiety, trauma-reactivity, ADHD, and relationship difficulties. I also provide specialized treatment for LGBTQ, parent-child relationships, and parenting/behavior management.
Navigating life's obstacles can be challenging. I believe the more effectively people communicate with and depend on one another, the more independent and confident they become. My primary approach to therapy is to provide the best evidence-based treatment to match the unique needs of my clients so they can establish and maintain healthy relationships.
