Welcome! My name is Suzie Lockwood, and I specialize in working with families, couples, teenagers, and adolescents of all ages facing various life challenges, empowering each client to take charge of their future. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and am under the supervision of January Hartze. With extensive experience across various settings including individual, family, and group counseling, crisis intervention, and family services, I tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs.
Here at Healing Hartze, I draw from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and modified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Additionally, I am excited to offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for clients who can benefit from this approach.
My passion lies in assisting clients in developing healthy coping skills to enhance their overall quality of life. I believe that healing is possible no matter how deep the wound. Sometimes all we need to do is take that next step into the unknown and enter into a safe space where we can let go and learn who we are amidst our pains or struggles.
