I have extensive training working with families hit by trauma such as domestic violence and child abuse. I have a strong foundation working with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and addiction. I find that gentle acceptance and compassion is essential to healing from painful life events and choices.
I work with a Cognitive Behavioral Mindfulness Based Approach. Mindfulness is an evidence based approach to finding peace amidst stressful times and can be utilized anytime and anywhere. I also work with Family Systems Model as it is often the "System" struggling rather than just the individual.
