I believe clients need to feel safe for treatment to be successful. I provide a safe environment for clients to be able to work on developing an individualized treatment plan that best meets their unique needs. Treatment provided addresses thoughts, behaviors, the environment and the body's reactions to these things. I am experienced at working with many issues; including PTSD, anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, OCD, substance abuse, separation issues, adoption and issues related to abuse and neglect. I work with adults, children, and teens.
I specialize in working with PTSD, Children in Foster Care/ Adoption, and children who are diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder/ ODD. I utilize several different treatment modalities; including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy ( a highly effective model for treating Reactive Attachment Disorder) and Trauma-Based Psychotherapy integrating EMDR and Progressive Counting as a tool for healing.
