The 'ideal client' for counseling is someone who is sick & tired of being sick & tired. They are ready for change & peace of mind and ready to see their part in problems. Through counseling and consultation, they can acquire skills to think, feel and behave differently in situations and relationships for better outcomes. Self respect, self worth and esteem get better. Clients notice they feel lighter. There is an overall increased sense of well being. They are increasingly able to do the next right thing while avoiding falling down the rabbit hole of old patterns which initially brought them into counseling.
I specialize in identifying and removing painful thoughts and feelings through EMDR to assist clients to develop into the person they want to be. My Ph.D. specialty is the father/daughter relationship; also mother/son. These gender relationships affect all aspects life: family, work, friendships, societal and religious/spiritual.
I'm the youngest of 3 from a dysfunctional family. I entered therapy at 16, worked on my issues and became a therapist. I work with issues of growing up, alcoholism, addicted family systems, stress, anxiety, depression, esteem, divorce, remarriage, relocation, retirement. Cancer, amputation, spirituality, surrender to one's humanity.
